Jeju Family Resort Review: Seogwipo World Cup Resort - Affordable Stay Under $100
The biggest challenge when planning our Jeju family trip was choosing accommodation. Since we were staying with children, we absolutely needed a structure with separate bedrooms and a living room. While there are many resorts and pensions like this, I chose Seogwipo World Cup Resort for its reasonable price in the 100,000 KRW range (under $80 USD) even during peak season, its two-bedroom layout, and its good accessibility to tourist spots due to its location in downtown Seogwipo. We were so satisfied with our stay that it has become our go-to place whenever we visit Jeju. I'm writing this honest review to share the convenient and inconvenient aspects of our family stay this time as well.
Location and Surroundings of World Cup Resort
World Cup Resort is located in Beophwan-dong, Seogwipo-si, and is easy to find as it's right next to the Jeju World Cup Stadium. It's also close to downtown Seogwipo, making transportation convenient. By car, it took about 15 minutes to the Jungmun Tourist Complex and about 10 minutes to major Seogwipo attractions like Cheonjiyeon Falls and Lee Jung-seop Street, which made planning our itinerary easy.

Nearby, there are various restaurants and convenience facilities like E-Mart and McDonald's within a 2-3 minute drive, making it convenient. On the other hand, the inside of the resort maintains a quiet and peaceful atmosphere, which was great for relaxing. The parking space wasn't overly generous, but we had no trouble using our rental car. There's also a convenience store and several other facilities on the first floor, providing ample convenience.

Especially for family travelers, 'time spent at the accommodation' is also important. We were satisfied that World Cup Resort offered both accessibility to tourist spots and a quiet lodging environment.

How to Book
We booked the Seogwipo World Cup Resort through an online accommodation booking site. After comparing prices on several sites, we found relatively cheaper prices on Agoda and Trip.com. Although the difference isn't huge depending on the time and conditions, it's best to book from the site that offers the most advantage considering your schedule and available discounts.
The two-bedroom layout rooms, which are particularly popular with families, often get booked up quickly, so I recommend booking as soon as your dates are confirmed.
27-Pyeong (89 m²) Room Stay Review
We used the 27-pyeong room on this trip. With two separate rooms, the children and adults could sleep comfortably in their own spaces. The separate living room and kitchen made it very convenient for a family stay.

The living room was spacious enough for the kids to play freely, and it didn't feel cramped even with our luggage unpacked. The kitchen was equipped with a microwave, electric rice cooker, pots, and dishes, allowing us to prepare simple meals. It was especially convenient to be able to prepare our own breakfast or snacks. Cooking is not allowed in the 'Clean Room' type, but it wasn't a major inconvenience as we could use the convenience store on the first floor or order delivery from nearby restaurants.
The bedrooms consisted of one room with a double bed and one Ondol room (a Korean-style room with underfloor heating). The children slept comfortably in the Ondol room, while the adults got a good night's sleep in the bed. Having two bathrooms saved time in the morning as we could get ready simultaneously, and it wasn't inconvenient even with several people using them.

The facilities were not brand new, but they were clean and well-maintained, so we had no issues. Above all, the fact that it had two rooms was the most satisfying part of our family trip. After putting the kids to bed, the adults could relax in the living room, and preparing breakfast was much easier with the separated space.
Breakfast Price and Review
Seogwipo World Cup Resort offers a separate breakfast service. Breakfast is served in the restaurant on the B1 floor from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM (last entry at 8:30 AM). The menu is mainly Korean-style, with rice, soup, and a few side dishes provided as basics, along with simple bread, coffee, and juice.
The breakfast fee is KRW 10,000 (approx. $7.70 USD) for adults and KRW 7,000 (approx. $5.40 USD) for children, a slight increase from last year. Nevertheless, thanks to the spacious dining area and decent menu, it wasn't a heavy burden for a family to use. We were especially glad there were items the children could eat, which reduced our worries about preparing breakfast.

| Seogwipo World Cup Resort Breakfast |
While you can't expect a diverse buffet, the convenience of having a simple breakfast within the resort was satisfactory. However, it's difficult to use if you need to leave early for your itinerary, and the menu doesn't change much daily, so it might feel a bit monotonous for a long-term stay.
When our family got a little tired of the breakfast menu, we sometimes used the nearby McDonald's or restaurants in downtown Seogwipo and the Jungmun area.
Amenities and Services
Seogwipo World Cup Resort is equipped with the basic amenities necessary for a family trip. In addition to a spacious lobby and a convenience store on the first floor, there's a Jokgu (foot volleyball) court, fitness center, washing machines, karaoke, and BBQ facilities available for use.

There is also a cafe space, but it was not operating when we visited.

Most of the amenities needed during our stay were available, which was sufficient for a family to use lightly.
Downsides
If I were to point out some downsides, the first would be that the facilities are not new. The laundry room was free to use, but there was no dryer. It would have been more convenient if a paid dryer was available. Also, it was disappointing that part of the wooden floor in the room was damaged and unrepaired when we visited during the peak season.

However, the cleaning and maintenance itself were good, so it wasn't a major inconvenience for our stay.
Jeju's Best Value Family Accommodation: World Cup Resort with 2-Bedroom Layout
nbsp; The biggest advantage of Seogwipo World Cup Resort is the ability to use a spacious room in the low 100,000 KRW range (around $80-90 USD) even during peak season. The 27-pyeong (89 m²) room, with its two bedrooms, living room, kitchen, and two bathrooms, is more than spacious enough for a family trip. We were highly satisfied because children and adults could use separate spaces, and it was also great for spending time together in the living room.
It has a clear price advantage compared to other resorts or pensions with similar conditions, and it maintains a stable price range even during peak times like summer vacation or holidays when accommodation prices soar, making it less burdensome for long-term stays. Breakfast is also provided at KRW s 10,000 (approx. $7.70 USD) for adults and KRW 7,000 (approx. $5.40 USD) for children, reducing the overall cost.
The location is close to downtown Seogwipo, offering good accessibility to major tourist attractions, and the inside of the resort is quiet, making it suitable for relaxation. Although some facilities were old or not operating, the cleaning and maintenance were good, so there was no major inconvenience during our stay.
s In conclusion, if you are looking for a cost-effective family accommodation in Jeju, World Cup Resort is a highly recommendable choice.
