Haenam Myeongnyang Battle Victory Memorial Park
Haenam Myeongnyang Battle Victory Memorial Park is a great place to visit on your Jindo trip. Although it's located in Haenam, you can reach Jindo by crossing the Jindo Bridge right in front of the park. It's an ideal starting or ending point for your Jindo journey. This site commemorates the Battle of Myeongnyang, which took place in 1597. It was here that Admiral Yi Sun-sin, a revered hero of Korea, led his small fleet of 13 ships to a miraculous victory against a Japanese armada of over 300 ships during the Imjin War. Admiral Yi Sun-sin is a national hero, so deeply respected that his statue stands prominently in Seoul's Gwanghwamun Square and his portrait is on the 100 KRW coin. The park offers various exhibition facilities and stunning views, making it an educational and scenic spot to learn about and experience this significant historical event.

Namdo Jinseong Fortress
Namdo Jinseong Fortress is a site of the Goryeo Dynasty's struggle against the Mongol invasion. It was built by the Sambyeolcho forces to defend against the Mongols in Jindo and is surrounded by mountains. We recommend walking along the fortress walls to take some photos. Inside the fortress, you can also enjoy an archery experience.

Jindo Port (Paengmok Port)
Paengmok Port became widely known to the public due to the Sewol Ferry tragedy on April 16, 2014. Since then, the port's name was officially changed to Jindo Port, but many people still refer to it as Paengmok Port. A memorial hall for the Sewol Ferry is located here. It is a place of heartbreaking history, so visiting with children may require careful consideration, but it's a place that should be remembered to prevent such tragedies from ever happening again.

Sebangnakjo Observatory
This is known as one of the most beautiful spots in Korea to watch the sunset, with a magnificent view of the Dadohae archipelago at dusk. It is a good idea to check the sunset time in advance before visiting. Parking is limited, so you may need to park on the side of the road during sunset, so please be extra careful.

Song Ga-in Village
Song Ga-in is a trot singer especially beloved by older generations in Korea. - Check-in is on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 12 PM. It's a good idea to arrive early, as you can get a room reservation waiting ticket from a kiosk starting at 9 AM.

- The Mysterious Sea Road: Twice a day, a sea road opens for 2-3 hours, allowing you to walk to Sosamdo Island. You can check the opening times on the Jindo Tidal Time Table.
