Hyangiram Hermitage
Hyangiram Hermitage is a magnificent temple situated on a towering rock at the foot of Geumosan Mountain, facing the sea. Korea has many beautiful temples that embrace the sea, such as Haedong Yonggungsa in Busan, Naksansa in Yangyang, and Boriam in Namhae. However, Hyangiram is my personal favorite. It is an excellent place to watch the sunrise and is considered one of Korea's top 10 sunrise spots, attracting many visitors on New Year's Day. As you ascend the steep stairs, you will find paths and stairs carved between the rock faces. Taking a photo at the point where the sunlight shines through the cracks in the rocks will give you a fantastic picture.

Odongdo Island
Odongdo is a famous Yeosu tourist destination, where the entire island is covered in stunning red camellia flowers in spring. Odongdo is a peninsula that is now connected to the mainland by a breakwater, making it easily accessible. The island's main facilities include a camellia exhibition hall, an observatory, and a musical fountain. The lighthouse at the tip of Odongdo is a popular photo spot, offering beautiful views of the Yeosu sea and surrounding islands. The camellia flowers begin to bloom in October and are in full bloom in April, but the island is also beautiful to visit in autumn when the leaves change. A camellia train runs along the breakwater, and it is a good option to use, as it is very affordable at 1,000 KRW (approx. 0.72 USD) for adults and 500 KRW (approx. 0.36 USD) for children.

Dolsan Park
This is a great place to see the romantic sea and beautiful night view of Yeosu. Dolsan Park is located on the coast of Dolsan Island, facing the sea. You can also ride the Marine Cable Car, which connects Dolsan Park with Jasan Park across the sea. During the approximately 15-minute ride, you can enjoy the beautiful sea, city scenery, Janggun Island, Geobukseon Bridge, and the Hamel Lighthouse.

After sunset, you can enjoy a unique night view of Yeosu, with the lights of Dolsan Bridge, Geobukseon Bridge, Janggun Island, and the Marine Park.

Goso-dong Angel Mural Village
Goso-dong Angel Mural Village is one of Yeosu's oldest natural villages, located on a hill with a panoramic view of the sea, Dolsan Bridge, and Geobukseon Bridge. This is a historic place where Admiral Yi Sun-sin, a national hero and admiral famous for his victory in the Battle of Myeongnyang, planned and commanded his naval strategies during the Imjin War. The approximately 1,004-meter path from Jinnamgwan to Yeosu Marine Park is called the "Angel Mural Alley" because of its beauty.

Yi Sun-sin Plaza
Located in Jungang-dong, Yeosu, Yi Sun-sin Plaza is a place that honors Admiral Yi Sun-sin, a national hero who led the victory in the Imjin War. There are many exhibition materials that introduce the history of the admiral and the righteous army at the time, making it an excellent place to visit with children. The life-sized replica of the Turtle Ship is not just a model; you can even go inside. Inside the Turtle Ship, you can experience the vivid scenes of the naval forces and the Imjin War. In addition, there are many restaurants and shops around Yi Sun-sin Plaza where you can buy snacks. It will be a meaningful experience to pause your journey at the plaza and reflect on the history.
